Double Glazed Sash Windows
Our double glazed sash windows offer all of the modern benefits of high performance glazing.
All of our double glazed units use Low-emissivity glass. Low-emissivity glass (or low-e glass as it is commonly referred to) is a type of energy-efficient glass designed to prevent heat escaping through your windows to the cold outdoors. Low-e glass such as Pilkington K Glass™ has an invisible coating which dramatically reduces heat transfer and reflects interior heat back into your room. Unfortunately, many older double glazed units do not contain low-emissivity glass and are therefore not energy-efficient. By replacing your existing window glass with low-e glazing, you can improve the energy efficiency of your home, reduce your monthly bills and decrease the size of your carbon footprint.
Warm edge spacer bars aim to minimize energy loss around the perimeter of your double glazed unit. Warm edge technology also significantly lowers the temperature differential between centre and edge of unit and up to 94% reduced heat loss (or heat gain) at the external edge of your window. It can also help to reduce any condensation on your sealed unit by up to 70%. This reduction in moisture virtually eliminates the chance of mould growth and potentially harmful bacteria.
Sustainable Timber
Timber is the most sustainable building product available. It is naturally renewable – over 97% of timber used in the UK comes from Europe, where the forest is currently increasing by over 90 football pitches an hour! All timber that we use is certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry certification (PEFC).
